All kinds of good stuff - Ticket Related

I was up at a friends cottage last weekend and was lucky to learn that on Saturday, KISS tickets were going on sale in Montreal. So we jumped to the web and after waiting for 15 mins for my page to load, we were able to grab 4 tickets to the big show coming July 13th at the BELL CENTRE. A lot is being made of the Tickets Now and Ticket Master Lawsuit. These tickets were offered direct through the bell centre, so it was nice to be able to have a chance to get tickets. This reminded me of how things used to be - before the evil empire of Ticket Master took over. Yes, we are a ticket reseller - but we are also a fan and only try and connect fans with their favorite bands.

Toronto Tickets and Free Passes

As we search the web for the best tickets, it is important to try as many sites as we can. This will give us the best chance to find selection, price and turn around time. Some peer to peer sites will give you an opportunity to bid for the tickets in an auction format. Similar to Ebay, where you can also buy tickets. But sites like Stubhub are designed solely to hook you up with someone who has a your tickets.

Helping to provide you with more access to easy search tickets we have added several sites to our stable of websites. EdmontonTicketBrokers.com, ReginaTickets.com, VancouverTicketBrokers.com, CalgaryTicketBrokers.com and MontrealTicketBrokers.com have all been launched to help ticket buyers find great deals. Quick links to your venue or event will make these sites a favorite destination for people looking for tickets.

Sad response to International Bowl

Well the international bowl appears to be a poor excuse for a bowl game. Tickets are going for below cost on Stubhub - and according to some reports are cheaper than UConn allumns are required to pay. Very unfortunate that UB finally gets to go to a Bowl Game after waiting 50 years and no body is going to see it.

The Root to getting great tickets

The Ticket-Masters of the world have decided that it will be their practice to only release a percentage of the total tickets that are available for a show. The reasoning being that there is much more many to be made on tickets in the secondary market. Tickets as a result are being treated more like a commodity by TicketMaster and less like a means to provide fans with access to see their favourite groups. By holding back tickets - they are instantly creating a hyper eager market for the tickets. Even those who are online at the initial offering, usually don't receive on opportunity to buy tickets. We must ask, is this better for the consumer or just price gauging?? Does this give more people access to see the shows they want??

It may just represent a hit to the secondary market and ultimately takes the profit that ticket brokers would normally derive and puts it in the pockets of Tickets Now type sites. Which is owned by TicketMaster. Ultimately they are only creating a business model that is best for their bottomline. It is hard to blame a corporation for increasing their profit. As more acts strike up their own delivery deals, ie Madonna. And less work with dedicated ticket delivery engines like TicketMaster. They will be forced to relinquish more of the pie.

Brittany Spears Coming to Canada

With Brittany Spears announcing her up coming Canadian Dates. This will be a great show. Tickets are going to be expensive - like her or not - she is a great entertainer and puts on an amazing light and sound display. The cities she picked include Montreal, Toronto, Edmonton and Vancouver. The Toronto Show is set for March 18th - with Montreal hitting the stage on March 20th. The fact that she isn't doing that many shows in the US - must mean that she is testing the water about her return to touring. Having an undersold show can do a great deal of damage to someones career.

Her US stops include Atlanta, Boston, Dallas, Miami, Houston, Minneapolis, Los Angeles, Las Vegas and concluding in Chicago.

These destinations must be hotspots from a Fan Club perspective. Ensuring that her show is sold out. It is also surprizing that other major markets like New York, St Louis, Philadelphia weren't included.

Mobile Ticket Purchasing

As we rely more and more on our personal data devices. We are going to see the ability to offer tickets on the go. Whether for a concert, movie or sporting event. This will cut down on the number of people that are need at event venues, reduce lineup times, provide a better overall customer experience. In most of Europe the use of bar-code readers is a huge part of what makes up the mobile shopping experience. Even in Asia you can scan a billboard for a special product code and then send a text with that offer to receive a coupon or pre-register for a product. This will help marketers identify their target audience is and how to most effectively reach and communicate with them.

Our growth as an industry will rely on building better pathways for customers to get their tickets fast and easy. As we go wireless and more mobile with our purchasing - consumers will want the ability to buy everything on the go.
